Dear Larry :
Thank you so much for your Master of Ceremonies services at our wedding on November 14th, 2009. Your level of professionalism was far beyond our expectations, and we felt that your performance was THE highlight of the wedding. We cannot say thank you enough! We hope this letter can help as a reference for your future endeavors. You truly made our day so much more memorable and special.
Comprehensive Personalization
One of the most helpful aspects of your organization is the online planner. I felt that in less than an hour, I could completely tell you what was important to us, what we were expecting, and could even change it as we planned. I was so overwhelmed planning the wedding from Northern Virginia, and being a musician myself, it was very important to me to have the right entertainment. I felt that our phone conversations were productive, that we understood one another from the beginning, and that you truly catered to everything we wanted to help make our event special. My favorite personal touch was the “love story” introduction; it touched our hearts and created a good platform for the next step in our life.
Creative Involvement
Since our crowd was so diverse, I was really concerned that people would not get up and dance, and that everyone would just sit at their table and talk all night. I was equally worried that (based on my friend’s weddings) the DJ would possibly play music that was inappropriate, or that people did not like. I wanted everyone to be involved and have a great time; I wanted it to be something memorable for everyone. Your ideas and direction helped keep the ball rolling and kept everyone involved. Tricking everyone to take a picture together to get them on the dance floor was genius! It really worked perfectly. The lighting was also something I never would have thought of in a room so small, but I think the subtle tones of blue really helped set the mood – so glad we did it!
Event Direction
The reason I wanted a “Master of Ceremonies” as opposed to a traditional “DJ” was to insure that everything flowed well. I felt that we moved seamlessly through the evening, without any confusion. My biggest fear was that people would not know what to do, or that it would be too boring of an announcement (“now it’s time to cut the cake”). Everything was lively, involved everyone, and kept the party going at a good pace. We loved the music, loved the timing of all our special events, and loved that you knew when to cut songs short (I don’t think my dad could have continued to dance any longer). Perfect timing on everything. Being able to keep me singing to Mike a secret was SO crucial, and you handled it so well!
Talented Spokesperson
I loved the way you announced everything. You really have a talent for delivery! The way everyone was introduced was perfect. I thought your delivery of the love story was so heartfelt. I had so many people come up to me during the wedding and say “where did you find this guy?! He’s awesome!” I knew I had made the right decision from the beginning, but was even happier that everyone else was so pleased.
Music Programming
The music was perfect. With such a diverse crowd, it was important to me that we play music that most people would like and would get up and dance to. I was so happy that my baby boomer parents, aunts and uncles were all out on the stage with my younger 20 something friends. It really made the wedding a celebration. You had a great way of playing the songs we specifically requested throughout the night, not all back to back like some DJ’s do, and were able to include some impromptu “karaoke” by the bride and groom, which was great!
Appropriate Presentation
I thought you presented yourself as a professional, in every aspect of your position. You dressed for the occasion and had a clean, professional appearance. I was also happy that you were so involved with the event direction and coordination of everything, but yet were able to disappear into the background when the time called for it. I never felt that you were overbearing or trying to “steal the limelight” like I have seen so many other wedding performers do.
Quality Amplification
The sound was especially important to us because we were married on the beach. Crashing waves are nice, but we wanted everyone to be able to hear the ceremony and the music. I think the position of the sound system was perfect, and everyone could hear everything. The set-up for the reception was also great – it was a smaller room but it the music was not over powerfully loud. I felt that everything was exactly the way it should have been.
Thank you again for everything you did for us. We were truly impressed, from our first conversation to the big day, you truly expressed professionalism and went above and beyond to help us create our special day. We had a night to remember the rest of our lives, and we have you to thank for it. If you ever need to contact us, please just call or email.
